Before we started to work on the piece, I tried to find a video clip on the internet to see what was is store for us. Yet very little could be found. I was however able to find a review from when the company last performed There Where She Loved.
We have only just started to learn the choreography, but already I can't wait to get my teeth in and learn more. The movement is mesmerising and effortless.
I am honoured to be learning a piece from one of the choreographic geniuses of the 21st century and so excited to be performing it with such an amazing company!

Jacob yes yes- would like to hear more about your process of learning Wheeldon's choreography. Found this link on Wheeldon http://www.guardian.co.uk/stage/video/2009/nov/10/christopher-wheeldon-ballet really interesting ideas of British and US styles/techniques of dance - quite a role model really for many young performers. Like the 'light drawings' for the Sadler's Wells performance http://www.sadlerswells.com. Fascinating stuff - maybe collect some more really solid sources (literature) that includes articles and video articles for your research. Did find this on vimeo from paris production (?) and http://www.ballet.co.uk/magazines/yr_07/nov07/rs_rev_morphoses_1007.htm - try different key words. Really interesting and relevant to your inquiry. Wheeldon seems like a good source for how technique informs style and artistry in this art form.
